Additional features including larger graphical display

The Access 500 builds on the capabilities of the Access 200 and offers: 

• Moulded aluminum housings covered with a highly resistant textured coating.
  
  
• A large graphical display 132x48 pixels, which can be back-lit.
  
  
• Line powered
  
  
• External charging through 12 or 16 kHz pulses, or internal charging of the call.
  
  
• Interaction with the end-user is ensured with following keypads: 
  • 4x3 standard CCITT marked keypad 
  • 5 programmable function keys 
  • Four (4) additional speed dial keys 
  • Fully static reader (no moving parts), manually operated 
  • Range of options including the dual (chip and magnetic) reader, keypads for Arabic speaking countries, additional lightning protection, 50Hz charging etc. 

With the larger graphical display, non-Latin languages are also available. The four extra keys allow additional end-user services such as advertising (direct link to restaurant or hotels), special promotion (voting for TV shows) or many other kind of services created by operators.

From a hardware point of view, the Access 500 is designed for easy evolution - even after field installation. It can be modified to become an Access IT terminal.
