NACIER Membership Terms & Conditions
 

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern membership in NACIER, the National Alliance for Commercial & Industrial Electronic Repair, established to connect, elevate, and advocate for Australia's industrial electronic repair professionals. Membership is managed by DUONS Pty Ltd, the founding organisation of NACIER.

By applying for and/or paying for membership, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions in full.

 

 

2. Membership Eligibility

To be eligible for NACIER membership, applicants must:

  • Operate a registered business (ABN required) involved in industrial or commercial electronic repair, diagnostics, servicing, or a closely aligned sector (e.g., monitoring, predictive maintenance, component testing).

  • Complete the online application form truthfully and accurately.

  • Agree to NACIER's core purpose, ethics, and goals.

  • Be approved by NACIER administration. We reserve the right to reject or revoke any membership application that does not meet eligibility requirements.

 

 

3. Membership Tiers & Fees

NACIER membership is open to qualified repair professionals and businesses based in Australia who work within commercial or industrial sectors such as infrastructure, automation, telecommunications, utilities, manufacturing, and more.

 

3.1 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for membership, applicants must:

  • Deliver electronic repair services for commercial or industrial systems

  • Operate under safe, compliant, and ethical practices

  • Support repair-first strategies and national capability building

  • Agree to adhere to NACIER’s Terms & Conditions and uphold its values of integrity, professionalism, and cooperation

  • All applications are subject to review and approval by NACIER before membership is granted.

 

3.2 Membership Categories & Fees

 - Individual Membership – $250 AUD per year
- For sole traders or individual professionals working in eligible sectors.

 - Business Membership – $450 AUD per year
 

For registered repair companies with one or more employees.

 - Corporate Partner / Sponsorship – By request
 

Available to aligned organisations, stakeholders, or affiliates that support NACIER’s mission. Bespoke pricing and inclusions apply.

Membership fees are payable annually. All prices are in AUD and may be subject to GST. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or approved under exceptional circumstances.

 

3.3 Inclusions & Member Benefits

All NACIER members receive:

  • Official NACIER Member Badge (for use on website, proposals, tenders, etc.)

  • Access to member-only tools, templates, and business resources

  • Inclusion in NACIER’s internal directory (not publicly visible), with selected visibility for vetted clients through NACIER or DUONS outreach

  • Promotion opportunities via spotlight articles, campaign mentions, and case study features

  • Access to NACIER communications and updates on government, policy, and industry engagement

  • Priority referrals (when DUONS, as founding coordinator, receives projects outside its own scope)

 

3.4 Renewal & Termination

Membership will renew annually unless cancelled by the member prior to the renewal date. Members who breach the Code of Conduct or no longer meet eligibility requirements may have their membership revoked.

 

 

4. Directory Listing & Visibility

By joining NACIER, members agree to have basic business information displayed in the public-facing Member Directory, including:

  • Business name

  • Industry sector(s)

  • State or country

  • Logo (optional)

  • Core capabilities (selected via form)

 

Contact details, personal names, and emails will not be shared publicly.

NACIER does not function as a client referral service. Member listings are intended to build sector visibility and credibility, not to serve as lead generation tools for external parties.

 

DUONS and NACIER reserve the right to:

  • Remove or limit visibility of listings if they breach alliance values

  • Edit listings to ensure consistency and accuracy

  • Restrict or anonymise listings at our discretion

 

 

5. Code of Conduct

By becoming a member, you agree to:

  • Uphold high standards of technical practice, safety, and compliance

  • Treat other members with professionalism and respect

  • Not misuse NACIER branding, tools, logos, or materials for misleading or unethical purposes

  • Refrain from soliciting or poaching clients under the guise of NACIER affiliation

 

Any breaches may result in membership cancellation without refund.

 

 

6. Use of Branding

Approved members may display the official NACIER Member Badge on:

  • Websites

  • Email signatures

  • Promotional collateral

 

This badge must not be used in any way that implies endorsement, exclusivity, or partnership unless formally granted. Misuse may result in termination of membership.

 

 

7. Privacy & Data

We collect and store business contact details for:

  • Directory listing (partial)

  • Internal communication

  • Invoice and tax purposes

 

We do not share personal or business data with third parties unless required by law or with express consent.

 

 

8. Changes to Membership

NACIER may:

  • Update or adjust these Terms & Conditions

  • Modify membership tiers or fees

  • Cancel inactive or non-compliant memberships

 

Where possible, 30 days’ notice will be provided before material changes take effect.

 

 

9. Management & Administration

NACIER is administered by DUONS Pty Ltd, who:

  • Manage all member communications

  • Approve/review applications

  • Control website content and directory listings

  • Handle events, affiliations, and partnership opportunities

 

NACIER is not a standalone legal entity; membership does not confer ownership or voting rights in the alliance.

 

 

10. Termination of Membership

Membership may be terminated for:

  • Breach of conduct

  • Failure to pay membership fees

  • Misrepresentation of business capabilities

  • Use of NACIER affiliation for misleading purposes

 

Members may also cancel at any time, though no refunds will be issued for remaining term.
