NACIER Membership Terms


1. Overview

These Membership Terms govern participation in the National Alliance for Commercial & Industrial Electronic Repair (NACIER).

By submitting an application and maintaining NACIER membership, you agree to the terms outlined below.

NACIER is currently operated as an industry initiative under DUONS Pty Ltd.

2. Membership Offering

NACIER membership provides recognised participation within a national industry initiative focused on commercial and industrial electronic repair.

Membership includes:

  • Accredited NACIER membership status

  • Use of NACIER branding and membership badge, subject to these terms

  • Inclusion in NACIER communications, initiatives, and industry-related activities

  • Membership is intended to support industry recognition and professional standing within the sector.

3. What Membership Does Not Provide

NACIER membership does not:

  • Guarantee work, contracts or referrals

  • Act as a government-recognised certification, licence or formal accreditation

  • Replace regulatory, compliance or industry-specific requirements

  • Guarantee commercial outcomes or business growth

  • Membership is a professional industry participation and recognition model.

 

4. Membership Eligibility & Assessment

All applications are subject to review following submission and payment.

NACIER reserves the right to:

  • Approve or decline any application

  • Request additional information to assess suitability

  • Determine eligibility based on alignment with NACIER’s focus on commercial and industrial electronic repair

  • NACIER may rely on information provided by applicants and does not independently verify all submissions.

  • Submission of an application and payment does not guarantee acceptance.

5. Membership Fees & Term

Membership Fee: $750 AUD per year (GST inclusive)

  • Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of approval

  • Renewal is required to maintain active membership status

  • Payment is required at the time of application unless otherwise agreed.

  • All prices are in AUD and include GST where applicable.

6. Application, Approval and Refunds

  • Upon submission of an application, payment of the membership fee is required.

  • Applications are reviewed after submission and may take several business days to assess.

  • If an application is approved, membership will be activated and confirmation, including membership details, will be issued via email.

  • If an application is not approved, the membership fee will be refunded in full to the original payment method.

  • Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe and may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on the payment provider.

  • Once membership has been approved and activated, membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

7. Renewals

Members will be invited to renew prior to expiry.

If membership is not renewed:

  • Accredited membership status will cease

  • Rights to use NACIER branding will cease


8. Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current business information

  • Operate in a professional and ethical manner

  • Maintain capability aligned with commercial and industrial electronic repair

  • Comply with the NACIER Code of Practice

  • NACIER may request updated information to support ongoing alignment.

9. Use of NACIER Branding and Intellectual Property

All NACIER branding, including the NACIER name, logo, badge, and associated materials, remains the intellectual property of NACIER and DUONS Pty Ltd.

Active members are granted a limited, non-transferable right to use NACIER branding and membership references strictly while their membership is valid.

Members must:

  • Use NACIER branding in a professional and accurate manner

  • Not alter, modify, or misuse NACIER branding

  • Not represent NACIER membership as a formal certification, regulatory approval, or endorsement beyond its intended purpose

  • All rights to use NACIER branding must cease immediately if membership lapses, expires, or is terminated.

  • Unauthorised use of NACIER intellectual property may result in action, including revocation of membership.

10. Suspension or Revocation

NACIER reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership where:

  • Information provided is inaccurate or misleading

  • The member no longer aligns with NACIER’s focus or standards

  • Conduct is inconsistent with professional industry expectations

  • No refund is provided in cases of suspension or revocation arising from breach of these terms or the NACIER Code of Practice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, NACIER and DUONS Pty Ltd are not liable for:

  • Any loss of business, revenue or opportunity

  • Any reliance placed on NACIER membership or participation

  • Any indirect or consequential loss arising from membership

 

12. Changes to Membership Terms

NACIER reserves the right to update these Membership Terms at any time.

Updated terms will apply to new memberships and renewals. Members will be notified of material changes prior to renewal.

13. Governing Law

These Membership Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
